Santa Teresa is a small and popular surf town located north of the Puntarenas province in the Central Pacific area of Costa Rica, at the western end of the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica.

Malpais is a small coastal town located on the southeastern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula in the northern part of Puntarenas, Costa Rica.
